About

Hi I’m Brandy! I love lavender lattes, reading in my hammock, and helping other people live out their dreams. I am an Enneagram 1w2, “The Activist.” I am passionate about advocating for social change and justice, and care deeply for others. In 2016, after 10 years in the social service field working with persons experiencing homeless, substance abuse, incarceration, and mental illness, I started Zoie’s Place, a nonprofit for aged out foster youth. I witnessed first-hand the intersection between foster care and homelessness, and I wanted to do something about it.

I started Zoie’s Place with no prior experience working for a nonprofit organization and figured it out as I went along. Zoie’s Place grew from an idea, to a mid-size nonprofit with an annual budget of a quarter million dollars, two transitional homes, a team of 8 people and over 60 active volunteers. I knew very little when I started, and learned so much as our organization grew. I poured all of myself into the nonprofit and as a result, I burnt myself out. I know what it’s like to start a nonprofit, lead a nonprofit, and burnout from compassion fatigue and I don’t want you to experience that. Now I’m taking what I’ve learned to help you. If you can relate to anything I’ve shared, let’s connect.

I look forward to working with you!
